Syncbak to Stream Chinese New Year Parade Live on SBTV
Syncbak, the world’s leader in live local streaming, today announced its inaugural live stream of the Chinese New Year Parade on Syncbak’s direct-to-consumer OTT app, SBTV. Syncbak station partner KTSF Channel 26 in San Francisco will broadcast the event over-the-air to its viewers in the Bay Area, plus offer out-of-market viewers an opportunity to join in the celebration via SBTV.
KTSF has been building a robust nationwide audience since expanding its footprint on SBTV late last year. The first broadcaster to carry locally produced Chinese-language programming in the US, including the first local Chinese-language newscast, the station now produces a wide variety of programming in Chinese every week. The parade marks the first live-local event from KTSF streamed exclusively on SBTV.
“The Chinese New Year Parade is exactly the type of programming we built SBTV for,” said Jack Perry, founder & CEO of Syncbak. “There is a national audience for hyper-local events. KTSF does a great job of promoting its programming to a national audience. Stations are finding new viewers for live local news and events on SBTV. KTSF and the parade are the perfect execution of SBTV’s capabilities.” added Perry.
The parade can be viewed live on SBTV Saturday, February 23rd from 6-8pm PT or on-demand anytime, anywhere after the event. Tune in at www.sbtv.com or via the SBTV app available in the App Store, on Google Play and Roku.
