Syncbak Increases Reach for Local Stations via Roku
Syncbak today announced the launch of a Roku app for its direct-to-consumer solution, SBTV. The app expands reach on the SBTV platform by 20 million viewers in the US, allowing both stations and advertisers enhanced opportunities to reach the growing live-local OTT audience.
SBTV allows local broadcast stations the ability to syndicate and license both live and on-demand programming for OTT delivery by combining the company’s existing SimpleSync over-the-top platform for local TV stations with AdSync, its proprietary dynamic ad-insertion technology. AdSync is designed to manage local and national advertising spots automatically, based on a viewer’s location.
Barry Fisher, President and General Manager of WFMZ, an SBTV affiliate in Allentown, PA, said “our highest priority is to reach 100% of the viewing audience wherever they choose to watch. The flexibility of the SBTV Roku app means viewers have all of our news content available for immediate access with the built-in DVR, ensuring our viewers can watch anytime, anywhere.”
