In this time of uncertainty, the importance of live local news and the stations that power it has never been more certain. The impact of local broadcasting is on full display in communities across the country. Last week, Syncbak streamed more minutes of live news to more people than ever before. Viewers want to stay connected to the latest news and information, and they are turning to you both over-the-air and over-the-top, for those critical updates. Syncbak enables you to reach your audience with those critical updates OTT.

What you, our broadcasters, do is essential. In most states, news media are considered “essential” and will remain up and running while other businesses are forced to close. We’ve always known our broadcasters are essential to the communities you serve, and we’re here to serve you, now and always.

We want to reassure you that our SimpleSync technology, which delivers your over-the-air broadcast stream to multiple internet (over-the-top) viewer destinations, including to our SBTV consumer app, will continue normal operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will ensure you and your viewers receive the best possible service through the duration of this public health crisis.

The safety of our employees and their families is of utmost importance to us. Employees are practicing social distancing at and away from the office. We have created a virtualized work environment that equips each team member with what they need to work from home. We’ve eliminated non-essential work travel and we’re ensuring safety for employees choosing to remain in the building by minimizing the need to leave during their shift by providing meals and other conveniences.
