52nd Annual I-500 Snowmobile Race to Stream Live Straight-to-OTT on Syncbak’s SBTV
Heritage Broadcasting’s MI Sports Now will stream the event live from Sault Ste Marie exclusively on Syncbak’s SBTV Saturday February 1st beginning at 9am ET.
Syncbak, the world leader in live local broadcast streaming and home of the industry’s leading direct-to-consumer OTT app, SBTV, today announced it will stream the 52nd Annual I-500 Snowmobile Race live from Sault Ste Maria, on SBTV this Saturday at 9am ET. Billed the longest endurance race anywhere in the world, the event is the group’s third straight-to-OTT event carried live on Syncbak’s OTT platform.
“We’re giving viewers more live local OTT content,” said Kevin Dunaway, VP and GM at Heritage. “This is exactly how straight-to-OTT is intended to work. We make a hyper local event with national interest available to a nationwide OTT audience via SBTV, and a local advertiser jumps on the opportunity to reach sports fans by sponsoring the event,” added Dunaway. The Merchant’s Bar, known as “The Merch” to locals in Sault Ste Marie, has signed on as the sponsor of the event.
“Kevin Dunaway is taking the lead in OTT with his visionary thinking,” said Jack Perry, founder and CEO of Syncbak. “He understands, perhaps better than anyone, that the trick to being successful in the OTT space is simply to get his viewers something else to watch.”
The 52nd Annual 1-500 Snowmobile Race from MI Sports Now can be viewed live on SBTV this Saturday February 1st at 9:00am ET. SBTV is available on all desktop, mobile, iOS, Android, Roku and Fire TV devices.
