Director of Affiliate Relations

Syncbak’s Director of Affiliate Relations will build and maintain strong business relationships with local TV stations across the U.S.  In addition to negotiating agreements regarding our SimpleSync OTT platform, and signing VUit affiliation agreements, the qualified candidate will be responsible for advancing industry partnerships. The affiliate relations director will work with fellow staff in New York  to expand VUit’s service for our audience and will serve as the front-line of communication for affiliates across the U.S.

Syncbak provides affiliates with our proven over-the-top platform, SimpleSync. Our direct-to-consumer app called VUit, provides local affiliates with the tools to create a free ad supported hyper-local presence over-the-top and distribute it across the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit local stations to utilize our SimpleSync and AdSync technologies to power local websites and apps
  • Recruit local stations to become VUit affiliates
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major broadcast groups
  • Provide daily client services, marketing and operational support to our affiliated stations
  • Provide support and distribution strategies for VUit network programming
  • Implement and support co-branding and marketing initiatives
  • Maximize distribution of network programming
  • Secure national programming rights to locally produced content
  • Monitor market conditions, product or service innovations and competitor’s offerings
  • Alert management of potential issues with new and existing partnerships

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a television, media or related entertainment environment with understanding of commonly-used terminology, roles and functions
  • BA/BS degree
  • Successful experience in affiliate relationship management, sales and marketing
  • Understanding of local and national audience measurement
  • Professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience interacting and building relationships with senior-level executives
  • Ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is able to work effectively autonomously
